WORK MODE

 

This year i’ve been trying to get myself into doing more things relating to my career direction by taking on internships for companies , collaborating with other creatives and also volunteering. It’s  important for me to build my portfolio and have experience of what it’s like to be in the industry i’m going to.

Recently  I worked as a Assistant producer for Croznest for this editorial i’m sharing with you today. My job role was to make the mood boards, generate ideas and also write the concept. The boards included styling , hair and make up and location ideas for the shoot and the whole team worked together to make it come alive. OH SHE GLOWS!

Good morning lovelies , I hope you all had a great weekend. So lately i’ve been feeling vibrant and good about myself. My skin has been glowing , and when my skins looks good it’s hard for me to have bad days. As I have mentioned before in my previous post that I have changed my diet now for the better and I have started to see positive changes in my skin. I know for us girls and also boys that we deal with skin issues from acne, dryness, spots etc . Today I thought I would share with you guys my 10 favourite fruit and vegetables that make your skin glow ✨.

1. Apples –  Full of vitamin A, essential to keep your skin looking taut and glowing.

2. Avocados – Avocados contain vitamin B7, promotes cell regeneration and growth, resulting in faster growing hair  and glowing skin.

3. Lemon – Your skin tends to look dull when it has scars, acne and blackheads. But lemons can keep these at bay. Get your vitamin C.

4. Kiwi – Kiwi is packed with Vitamin C. It keeps your skin looking younger and fresher.

5. Strawberries – It  has loads of antioxidants which lend your skin a healthy radiance from within.

6. Spinach – Loaded with antioxidants,  It helps strengthen skin tissue  flush out toxins, giving clear, glowing skin.( My absolutely favourite)

7. Sweet potato –  It has vitamin C  which improves skin tone and heals pimples.

8. Carrot – Only will it give your skin a glow, it will also fight wrinkles and improve your skin, making it healthy. (eat daily)

9. Tomatoes – Tomatoes help block dulling sun damage.

10. Kale –  Vitamin A found in kale promotes proper skin cell growth and helps to keep your skin fresh and alive.

Remember to love the skin you are in, we are all beautiful in our own ways.

 

BEACH FUN

Hey lovelies

I know i’ve been gone for a while but i’m back and so excited to share more content and great images with you all. As you all know I finally  finished my 1st year of University and ready for summer but the work never stops. Well this week, it was one of my friend’s 20th birthday and we celebrated by going to the beach in Bournemouth. It was a fun day overall , we strolled down the shore, played volleyball on the sand and had lots of sweet treats. If you are ever in South Coast of England this summer, I suggest you visit Bournemouth  beach you won’t regret it. STYLE ICON: SOLANGE

Solange can sing, write,  she’s a model, an actress, a mother and man can she dress. She’s the queen of colour-blocking. I don’t know anybody who better matches colours that wherever meant to be like her. From orange turtleneck under cobalt blue coat with pink pumps. Grape and lime green. She takes the idea of “mix and match” to a whole new level. Her eye-catching colours, big hair and bold prints are all blended together to create an effortless combination of a cool girl and a traveler.

I’m no Solange but i share and respect her love for making a personal statement whenever she’s out in public. When it comes to fashion, she is a work of art.

Here are my 5 tips to emulate her style

  1. Don’t be afraid of colour: Brights with neutrals. Try to pair colours that you haven’t before — Purple with yellow or hot pick with orange.
  2. Wear tons of patterns and mix them.
  3. Pants are optional. Shorts , skirts and dresses are not.
  4. Vary heels and flats. Have fun with chunky wedges, strappy sandals and pointed kitten heels.
  5. When in doubt , try menswear. You know what that means blazers and trousers.

 

STYLED BY ANGEL AND CRISTINA

As you all know I have been working on JUICEBOX Magazine AW16 Edition as an art director assistant and stylist. I can  finally say after 6 weeks of hard work the magazine is finally done. I worked  along  side with my good friend Cristina as stylists for the magazine. Our issue was for Autumn/Winter , so it was a challenge to get suitable clothing as we are transitioning into summer. But luckily we managed to get some of the clothing through PR companies and hours and hours of looking in different shops did the job. For all the shoots we kept two things in mind , layering and keeping the colour palette simple. It was a pleasure to work with Cristina and hopefully we collaborate again in the future. Check out her blog here. Also huge thank you to my team for working hard to creating  such great imagery and content.

The magazine will be available online next week and i will share it with you guys to see the  full edition but for now here are a few images that Cristina and myself styled.

PLACES TO VISIT IN LONDON THIS SUMMER

Hey lovelies

First of all i just want to say goodluck to everyone fighting deadlines and taking exams. It will be worth it in the end , keeping working hard because you will get to spend your summer knowing you did the best you could. Speaking of summer it’s almost here and i can’t even contain my excitement. Like everyone else i love summer because of the weather, the clothes , adventures and the good times.If you are looking for places to visit this summer in London , my list will definitely keep you and your friends occupied this summer.

Hey lovelies

From an early age we were told that skipping breakfast is not good for our healthy because it is the most important meal of the day , well our parents were right. I remember when I was young  used to say I don’t eat breakfast but at this age it’s now my favourite meal of the day. Some people might not be hungry in the mornings, forcing yourself to eat or drink is one of the most beneficial things you can do for you body in the mornings.

Wake up earlier in the mornings to make yourself a well balanced breakfast to make sure you leave the house fed well and ready to start off your day right. You will have more energy throughout the morning since your body will have fuel. Your concentrating level and focus be better. You will be less irritable, we all know how we get when we are hungry. So do your body a favour and fuel it every morning.
